here's a pic of jerry's dog Posted by Hello

We got the keys this past Wednesday.

Anna and I are super excited.

The tough part is the make all the design decisions in the next two weeks and find a decent contractor to do the work.

Over the last 3-4 days we've been pouring over many different kitchen designs in 'http://www.dwellmag.com'>Dwell and Metropolitan Home.

One thing we haven't discussed is the cost of this renovation.

what's up with Lakers?

I mean, can't we all just get along.

Shaq is headed to the Heat.
and Kobe still might sign with the Clippers?

this is a major f*ck up with upper management ( Dr Buss and Kupchak )
- they should've not publicly said that they were willing to trade Shaq until Kobe was signed.

the good news is that the Kings, Mavs, Spurs and the T Wolves are all good teams to make the finals

I'm so excited.

we finally got a house in Alameda. we close on July 14th

It's not like Alameda is the best city in the world, but Anna wants to live there.
It turns out, after a while I started to want to move there.

Alameda is an older town. It's actually a city of 2 islands.
It use to be a major U.S. Naval base as well.
Alameda has the largest Victorian era houses per capita in the U.S.

The house we got was built in 1963/64.

The good news is that it is 3-4 blocks from the beach.

Also the ceilings are high.

It has lots of great potential.

Now the tough part, how do I have my house look like one of those homes in Dwell magazine without spending more than $30k on remodeling.

we have to completely gut the kitchen, replace the floors and carpet.

Anna wants the toilets replaced too.

we also have about $5600 in fungus or dry rot that needs to be fixed.

oh and it appears that the last tenant ( yes this house was a rental for a long time)
was growing marijuana in the attic area.
Inadvertantly, the tenants or friends of the tenants disconnected the hoses for the heating and how it's exposing the asbestos.
